UP FOR SALE IS THIS (NEW IN ORIGINAL BOX & NEVER DISPLAYED) NOS DEPARTMENT 56 BUILDING. FROM “CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY” SERIES. ” CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF ST MARKS ” NO. INTRODUCED IN 1991 & RETIRED 1992. THE CATHEDRAL OF ST. MARKS IS A MUST HAVE FOR ALL COLLECTORS!! THE CATHEDRAL OF ST MARKS WAS ORIGINALLY INTENDED TO BE A RUN OF 17, 500 PIECES. HOWEVER DUE TO PRODUCTION PROBLEMS. IT WAS REDUCED TO A SMALLER LIMITED EDITION OF 3,024. THIS PIECE IS NUMBER 62 OF THE 3,024 PIECES PRODUCED. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THESE BUILDINGS ARE VERY SUSCEPTIBLE TO FIRING CRACKS. WE HAVE EXAMINED THE CATHEDRAL OF ST. AND FOUND A SLIGHT FIRING CRACK ON THE OPEN FRONT DOOR. AS SHOWN IN PICTURE 4 ABOVE. IT IS ONLY VISIBLE WITH A LIGHT INSIDE THE BUILDING AT NIGHT. THE REST OF THE BUILDING, SIDES, FRONT, BACK AND ROOF HAVE. ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNS OF ANY FIRING CRACKS. MARKS, NUMBER 62 IN A RUN OF 3,024, COMES TO YOU. IN ORIGINAL STYROFOAM PACKAGING WITH LIGHT CORD AND SLEEVE. THE SLEEVE, AS THE PICTURES SHOW, HAS SHOWN SOME WEAR BUT IS STILL INTACT. THE REMAINDER OF THE PACKAGING IS IN NEW CONDITION. Department 56 Flat Iron Building #59260 Christmas in the City 2006
For your consideration is a Wonderful 2006 Christmas In the City Series by Dept. I love the windows lit up, so that is how most of the photos are taken. Perfect to keep up all year long. Does have a wreath that is adhered over the door, which easily just lifts off. Not sure if it is part of the display or not, looks to be. As well as the top Corner edifice Which just lifts out of a small bracket. 131/2″ Tall and 9″ at the widest. Heavy at 6.8 pounds. Has 2 lights that brightens this building. The lower bulb appears to burned out. So It lights well with just the one lit. Found this from an estate sale, No Box with this one. Use the photos to help with the description. D56 Christmas in the City Empire State Building
This is the D56 Christmas in the City. This piece was issued in 2003 and retired in 2005. The plastic pins on the top have been replaced with metel ones to keep from braking. The white light on the top is dim and the red and green are bright. There is a small chip on the side. One flag is missing. This item is used. Please contact me if you have any questions.
