VERY limited production run. Includes the accessory “Picking the Perfect Tree”. Please take care to only handle by the solid porcelain sections of the building. Dealer’s display item from a glass-enclosed, display cabinet. Box / sleeve with minimal shelf wear unless otherwise noted. The white speck on the front, center of the pavement is NOT a chip. It’s a small piece of display snow. The item was reboxed securely before the photos were reviewed. We recently received almost the entire Christmas in the City, Alpine Village, North Pole, Disney Parks Village series and other Dept 56 villages from a former dealer and serious collector who took great pride in her collection. New in Box! Department 56 Christmas in the City JAMBALYA CAFE 59265

This extraordinary building belongs to a mega collector of everything Department 56 and past San Diego chapter president. She owns thousands of pieces in 6 different villages and could not possibly display everything. It is dearly time to downsize! Many have never been displayed or only displayed one time. I have hundreds of pieces yet to list! This is the highly sought Jambalaya Cafe #59265 building! It was released in 2006 and retired three years later in 2009. It is a BRAND NEW piece in its original box and has never. The box has a slight amount of shelf wear, but the inside contents are pristine. I had to open it for inspection and photographs. I used an extra light cord I have to display the illumination on the building and did not disturb the original cord. As you know this piece is hand painted. I want to point out there is an intended warble in the metal fence (on the top floor) to recreate the charm of an old building. It was the way it was designed and is in no way a defect. Comes from a smoke and pet free environment. What a wonderful opportunity to own a rare collectible that will only increase in value! Weighs 4.3 lbs before packing materials.

From Department 56’s Christmas In The City collection. Jambalaya Café has become one of the most sought after buildings in recent years. It’s a three-story, New Orleans-style brick building where French Quarter cuisine is served. Numerous design elements, including intricate ironwork, baskets, support posts, potted tree and sign, are all VERY fragile. It is our opinion that no other building in the entire Department 56 line has this many parts of the building that can easily be damaged. Also it’s our opinion that a significant number of Jambalaya Cafés have been damaged over the years and not many in existence that are in perfect shape. This building has NEVER been removed from the box. Please take care to only handle by the solid porcelain sections of the building. The box is in “almost new” shape with very minor shelf wear. This resulted in “crimping” of some of the edges on the top and bottom of the box. We appreciate being contacted for ANY questions, comments or concerns. Cracking stucco proves that this family owned establishment has served the neighborhood for decades. Grab a slice to go from the pizza displayed at the carryout window in front. Once upon a time a young couple named Dick and Jane Bridgins worked in the display department at a local department store.
