Department 56 – Christmas in the City Series – The Times Tower Special Edition Gift Set #56.55510. Introduced in 1999 and retired in 1999. The building measures approximately 18″ tall x 4 3/4″ wide x 6 1/2 deep. The lights do work. I did get the ball to drop and go back up with some wriggling of the button. The building is in very good condition. The box has a tear on the lid and has some tape across it. This is a large piece and heavy. Please review all of the photos.

The Dept 56 Christmas in The City The Times Tower Special Edition Gift Set is perfect for New Year’s celebrations. Made of porcelain and ceramic, this collectible was a limited edition and is retired. I’ve already inserted “2027” for the 2027 new year. Additional snap-on numbers are included for future celebrations. It’s easy to change the year. With the push of a button, the sparkling Ball atop The Times Tower illuminates and begins its descent. It takes about 6 seconds for the ball to descind. After the ball drops, after about 11 seconds, the ball will ascend automatically. This set Includes: “The Times Tower” Porcelain Lighted Building, with 2 light bulbs; The New Year’s Kiss Porcelain Accessory; 1 Small Container of Confetti; additional snap-on numbers for future celebrations. The Tower to the top of the ball measures 18.5 high. The woman in the “New Year’s Kiss Porcelain Accessory”, has lost her ankle/shoe.
