Marquee supports, nutcrackers with tree, sign, and potted plant attachments are fragile. A building with similar name was released in 2000. PLEASE BE SURE NOT TO CONFUSE THIS THEATRE WITH ANOTHER DEPARTMENT 56 “Majestic Theater” #56.58913. The word Theatre vs. Theater is different, as well as the building style, obviously. Please take care to only handle by the solid porcelain sections of the building. Dealer’s display item from a glass-enclosed, display cabinet. Department 56’s “Christmas In The City”. FEATURING “It’s A Wonderful Life” MOVIE. This is a wonderful and rare piece! The theatre features the movie; “It’s A Wonderful Life” which was only made the first year of production, after that, the movie listed is A Christmas Carol. This piece is hand-crafted and hand-painted and is brand new, however I found out that the lighting on the right hand side of the marquee doesn’t work! Please note the last four pictures. I can assure you that the piece was never used and the box was just opened so I could take these pictures and check the lighting! This is coming from a smoke-free, pet-free home. If you are looking specifically for the Department 56 Fox Theater, you already know this is a retired collector’s item. When they retired, and I saw the value increasing, I kept the last one in the box unopened. Recovering from 2020 has been a challenge, so I must part with this beautiful piece – much as I don’t want to. The item was just opened for creation of this listing so I could confirm and document that all is functioning correctly and the item is in pristine NIB condition. As is the case with the neon, there is a slight buzzing sound characteristic of this particular item. Not loud or offensive, but when you hear it, there is nothing wrong with the unit.
