THE CATHEDRAL OF ST. MARKS IS A MUST HAVE FOR ALL COLLECTORS!! THE CATHEDRAL OF ST MARKS WAS ORIGINALLY INTENDED TO BE A RUN OF 17, 500 PIECES. HOWEVER DUE TO PRODUCTION PROBLEMS. Have 26 pieces, New In Box, never used or displayed, Heritage Village Collection, of the Christmas in the City Series by Department 56. Years in 1980/1990’s. These beautifully handpainted porcelain collectables comes with original boxes and sleeves and styrofoam. All the buildings have the lighting in each box , never used. Cardboard does show the age (25-30 years) of discoloration and bent edges. All are Retired, the 1991 Cathedral Church of St Marks is a Limited Edition and rare, #1217 of the 17,500 that were to be made but only 3000+ were finished due to complications in the production of this church. It belonged to a mega collector and past president of a local Southern California Department 56 Club. She collected duplicate pieces, as so many collectors did/do. I gingerly removed it from the box so I could photograph the very low limited edition number for you. It’s numbered 1442 out of 17,500 ever made. The outside sleeve is also in excellent condition!
