LIMITED EDITION 17,500. Manufactured in 1991 Department 56 produced this limited edition church. Marks Cathedral is one of the rarest buildings in the Department 56 series. Due to production problems the intended production of 17,500 was never met. Only 3,024 ended up being finished. This building is in MINT condition with no signs of wear, cracks or crazing. This is one of the rarest Department 56 houses to find. It was supposed to be a limited edition of 17,500….. But due to production problems they only made 3,024…. This is number 887. The bo is in very good shape and it comes with the original light cord. I did have it on display but there is absolutely nothing wrong with it……. I don’t see any production issues with it either. Some edge/corner wear on the box sleeve ranging from light to roughish but good condition overall. The word cathedral is misspelled on the sleeve.. Department 56 – Christmas in the City – Church of the Advent. Brand new in original box, direct from Department 56. Size: 7 x 7.2 x 10.8 inches. Artist designed; globally recognized for quality. It’s very exciting to add a new Church to Christmas in the city for 2015. This design is as beautifully detailed as the cathedrals we find gracing the cities of North America. The main feature of this Church is the large front window. Real die-cast metal was crafted to replicate the gorgeous glass rose-style window. This almost reminds us of the large churches in the Pittsburgh area that showcase the outstanding metal work for which the area is so well known. The large towers lead people from afar through the large front doors. We also welcome pick-ups if you are near our store at 1480 E. 86th Street in Indianapolis, IN. We will issue a credit immediately once the item is received and inspected. Once upon a time a young couple named Dick and Jane Bridgins worked in the display department at a local department store. Frustrated by the lack of modern design, they ventured away from the department store to bring a more contemporary style store to Indianapolis. They started The Accent Shop Inc. Today our store focuses more on bridal and gift registry items. Up for sale is this RETIRED Department 56 Historical Landmark Series from Christmas in the city featuring the Cathedral of St Paul. This was bought at a convention in Minnesota and was kept as a memory. It is incredibly ornate and beautifully crafted, truly one of the finest pieces Dept 56 has put out. One of the towers has double bells. Stands approx 11″ tall to top of cross x 11″ wide. Please take in the pictures as they speak 1000 words to how this piece looks. Was displayed only once and has been stored away ever since. It is as close to being BRAND NEW without being. Looked over closely and could not find any issues (other then Dept 56 over-gluing one of the roof tops). I do my very best to describe each item as accurately.
