Up for sale is this RETIRED Department 56 Historical Landmark Series from Christmas in the city featuring the Cathedral of St Paul. This was bought at a convention in Minnesota and was kept as a memory. It is incredibly ornate and beautifully crafted, truly one of the finest pieces Dept 56 has put out. One of the towers has double bells. Stands approx 11″ tall to top of cross x 11″ wide. Please take in the pictures as they speak 1000 words to how this piece looks. Was displayed only once and has been stored away ever since. It is as close to being BRAND NEW without being. Looked over closely and could not find any issues (other then Dept 56 over-gluing one of the roof tops). I do my very best to describe each item as accurately. LIMITED EDITION 17,500. Manufactured in 1991 Department 56 produced this limited edition church. Marks Cathedral is one of the rarest buildings in the Department 56 series. Due to production problems the intended production of 17,500 was never met. Only 3,024 ended up being finished. This building is in MINT condition with no signs of wear, cracks or crazing. This is one of the rarest Department 56 houses to find. It was supposed to be a limited edition of 17,500….. But due to production problems they only made 3,024…. This is number 887. The bo is in very good shape and it comes with the original light cord. I did have it on display but there is absolutely nothing wrong with it……. I don’t see any production issues with it either. 56 CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY LIM ED 5549-2 – CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF ST MARK. 8 3/4 tall, excellent condition on this big limited edition church, working light included. Some edge/corner wear on the box sleeve ranging from light to roughish but good condition overall. The word cathedral is misspelled on the sleeve.. Please see the Very Necessary Info section for full terms. Usually, I’m very prompt on all communication.
