A Department 56 Collectible. Christmas in the City. Has Original Light Cord. 30th Anniversary of the Series… 3500 Pieces/Buildings were held back in storage for many years. For the 30th Anniversary of the Series, a Limited Design Sleeve was created, each piece was removed from the styrofoam box and hand signed and numbered by Mr. When the 3500 were released to retailers, a few years back, we obtained many of them… However, this is now our last one. There is no way to obtain anymore. Thus this is straight from Enesco/Dept 56 to Us to You – Never Displayed. Original styrofoam box and sleeve is present but not perfect – Has normal wear and tear from shelf storage that includes bent edges or other marks – Sleeve was re-designed on the limited edition piece. Dept 56 Christmas in the City, Cathedral Church of St. Mark, LE of 3,024

Department 56 Christmas In The City collection’s Cathedral Church of St. Mark created a lot of drama when it was first released. This building was originally designed as a Dickens’ Village church; however, it was too large to fit into that collection. Plans were to manufacture the church as a numbered limited edition of 17,500 buildings. But the manufacturing process in 2001 for this large church resulted in severe warping and breakage causing the company to cease production after 6 1/2 months and only 3,024 completed churches that were sellable. Three separate molds were used to create this very large, very impressive cathedral. This is limited edition number 2,881. Since it was made towards the end of the production run, many of the early issues causing poor quality were resolved. There are no obvious flaws noted in this beautiful church. Our packing team places each collectible box under UV light for 10 minutes per exposed surface, which has been shown to eradicate “germs” on the surface. Dept. 56 Historical Landmark Christmas/City Series Cathedral Saint Paul Light Up

I’m not the original owner of this piece. Measures 7 1/2″ wide by 11 1/2″ high by 12 in length. Item weighs 6#, 2 oz. Plugs in and lights up. One flaw seen – missing cross on top of cathedral. There are 2 towers on this – 1 is a bell tower – the other tower does not have bells. I do not believe this is a flaw – I did not see bells in the other tower from a picture I’ve seen of the original building. And many items I sell are vintage or in used condition. My home is smoke-free, but not pet-free. And even though I try to be thorough. Please understand if I miss a stray hair here or there. My customers are very important to me!
