Dept 56 Christmas in the City Retired. “THE TIMES TOWER” Special Edition Gift Set #56.55510. Commemorating Times Square 2000. Brand NEW in its BOX complete with Booklet of history of Times Square. Only partially removed from box so I could test it and make sure the Ball drops and Lights Flash! This piece is new stock from my sister’s closed gift shop. This Gift set INCLUDES: The Tower itself which measures 18″ in height (including the Ball Tower), and since the tower is a triangular shape, its width goes from 6.5″ to 4.5″, a double light plug, the transformer to make the ball descend and light up and to reset for next drop, the “New York Kiss accessory which is a couple celebrating with champagne, a container of confetti, and snap-on numbers to change it thru the years from the 2000 it comes with, and the History booklet mentioned above. Quite a find for any collector to get such a piece that is NEW, never displayed. Box is in great condition, has a flip top. Please call with any questions you may have. Christmas in the City. East Harbor Ferry Terminal. Hand Numbered Limited Edition of 15,000. CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY SERIES. HAND NUMBERED LIMITED EDITION OF 15,000. Introduced 2005 Retired 2006. The East Harbor Ferry Terminal is a very beautiful piece of architecture in a lovely. Shade of green with lovely Palladian windows with red grille work (an extension of the historical styles), a double front door, and lantern lights mounted on each pillar on the ground floor, the second floor has arched Palladian windows with red grille work and balconies, a large black with green framework dome on the very top, and a black roof. The windows are decorated with beautiful wreaths with large red bows, two red poinsettia plants in front of the pillars at the main double doors, and holly leaves lay across with red plants on the second floor balconies. The year 1983 is engraved in stone slightly below the dome with East Harbor Ferry Terminal shown slightly below. Logo is cast into the mold – a guarantee of authenticity. The Holiday season is just the place for excitement and cheer and the hustle and bustle along city sidewalks. The Christmas in the City series , introduced in 1987, with its lively cities and diverse architecture offers dozens of places to live, shop, work, dine, and enjoy the arts.
