Department 56 Christmas In The City (CIC) collection’s “The Singer Building” is part of the Arts and Architecture Series. The original, 47-story, Singer Building which was used as the headquarters for this famous company. Featuring Beaux Arts Architecture, this skyscraper was completed in 1908. Until its demolition in 1968, it was the tallest building in New York at the time. This impressive, 19 1/4, high rise joins its previously released New York City skyline buildings (Empire State, Chrysler, Times Tower, Flatiron) and the newly released, Woolworth Building to provide an impressive skyline to any CIC collection. This building is new, displayed by a dealer in a glass-enclosed cabinet. No cracks or chips. Please take care to only handle by the solid porcelain sections of the building. We recently received almost the entire Christmas in the City, Alpine Village, North Pole, Disney Parks Village series and other Dept 56 villages from a former dealer and serious collector who took great pride in her collection. In order to list as many pieces as quickly as possible, we may just show the box/sleeve in the photos. I have a very rare EMPIRE STATE BUILDING Christmas in the City Series TAKAHASHI DENSON BLOW MOLD, great working condition. Empire State Building Christmas In City Series Very Rare. Takahashi Denson designed opaque plastic architectural model lamp in the form of the Empire State Building. Stamped Midori, Japan, 20th century, circa 1980s. No cracks or breaks. Measures- 38″ tall x 10.25″ wide x 8.5, there is one screw cover shown in the picture that has a small chip but is unseen when standing upright and has no effect on strength of item.
