Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral in Minneapolis, Minnesota is one of two cathedrals in the Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota. It was built as a parish church overlooking Loring Park in 1910. In 1941, it was designated a cathedral when the bishop’s office moved to Minneapolis from the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour in Faribault. The cathedral hosted the first World Congress of the Anglican Communion to be held outside of the United Kingdom in 1954, and hosted 1976 General Convention in Minneapolis which officially accepted the ordination of women as priests and adopted the current Book of Common Prayer used in the United States. Also included are ten numbers to change the New Year’s Eve from 2000 through 2009. Material: Porcelain Type: House Size: Original SRP. Description: Inspired by the Times Tower in Times Square, NewYork, this building includes an animated, flashing ball that drops at the stroke of midnight. It actually has a push button that first lights the ball, drops the ball, then flashes the ball to create your own New Year’s Eve in Times Square atmosphere. The building also includes numerals that can be substituted for those atop the building for years 2000 through 2009. This numbered consists of the first 2000 pieces produced for production and were issued with a party set that is not included. The standard edition of the Times Tower is item 55510-1.
