UP FOR SALE IS THIS (NEW IN ORIGINAL BOX & NEVER DISPLAYED) NOS DEPARTMENT 56 BUILDING. FROM “CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY” SERIES. ” CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF ST MARKS ” NO. INTRODUCED IN 1991 & RETIRED 1992. THE CATHEDRAL OF ST. MARKS IS A MUST HAVE FOR ALL COLLECTORS!! THE CATHEDRAL OF ST MARKS WAS ORIGINALLY INTENDED TO BE A RUN OF 17, 500 PIECES. HOWEVER DUE TO PRODUCTION PROBLEMS. IT WAS REDUCED TO A SMALLER LIMITED EDITION OF 3,024. THIS PIECE IS NUMBER 62 OF THE 3,024 PIECES PRODUCED. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THESE BUILDINGS ARE VERY SUSCEPTIBLE TO FIRING CRACKS. WE HAVE EXAMINED THE CATHEDRAL OF ST. AND FOUND A SLIGHT FIRING CRACK ON THE OPEN FRONT DOOR. AS SHOWN IN PICTURE 4 ABOVE. IT IS ONLY VISIBLE WITH A LIGHT INSIDE THE BUILDING AT NIGHT. THE REST OF THE BUILDING, SIDES, FRONT, BACK AND ROOF HAVE. ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNS OF ANY FIRING CRACKS. MARKS, NUMBER 62 IN A RUN OF 3,024, COMES TO YOU. IN ORIGINAL STYROFOAM PACKAGING WITH LIGHT CORD AND SLEEVE. THE SLEEVE, AS THE PICTURES SHOW, HAS SHOWN SOME WEAR BUT IS STILL INTACT. THE REMAINDER OF THE PACKAGING IS IN NEW CONDITION. Department 56 Chicago Cubs Wrigley Field Collectible. From the Christmas in the City “Legendary Ballparks” series. This awesome World Series Champions Cubs collectible is in excellent condition and includes the original packaging, light/cord, and 3 American flags. Beautiful decorative display piece, lit or unlit. Perfect gift for the Cubs fan in your family. Back of the stadium lists the history or Wrigley Field and an overview of the Cubbies baseball team(s). Note: the black flagpoles have some paint chipping (easily corrected with a few dabs of model paint). Also, two of the flags are missing their tiny black base that connects them to the stadium. However, they can still be displayed, or could even be glued in place. Most importantly, the Stadium itself is basically flawless. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK! It is simply magnificent and a piece any CIC collector should be proud to own. The lights were tested prior to listing (tested okay).
