Where Details are Everything! Hi, I make custom display platforms to fit the scale of Dept 56 and Lemax villages. If you are like me your collection keeps getting bigger every year. I ran out of room and needed to find a better way to display my cute village. So I started to make platform bases about 9 years ago. I just love to see everything come to life with everything all lit up. Each design is my own and is protected. The Plaza is designed for Department 56, Lemax and many other porcelain villages. This is a ONE piece platform! There are no seams to match up. The Plaza features formal block walls with wall caps. There are a total of 8 stairs leading you up to the top level. The first level has the entry into the village. I hand carved the. Entry’s floor with a diamond design, and then stained it. There are 4 stairs. Leading up to the second level. On the second level I drilled 3 one inch holes for your buildings light cords to drop through. Then there are 4 stairs leading up to the top level. I have stained the surface of this platform a light golden brown. You will be able to sprinkle on snow for a Christmas display or for Halloween I’d sprinkle on green sod or shredded leaves. And of course change the trees for the season of the year. This platform is great for your year around villages. It’s easy to change the seasons with The Plaza design! You’ll be amazed at how many buildings this holds! I used 12 buildings in the Christmas village and still had lots of room for accessories. I use construction quality styro foam that is very light weight and is not toxic. Beware of other people building platforms with dense foam. Dense foam or florist type foam highly toxic! I also use all water based paints and glue. This is built on 1 1/2 wide cut legs. This space under the platform is where your wires and adapters can be hidden! I drill the holes upon request.
