Up for sale is the stunning Cathedral of St. Nicholas from the Department 56 Christmas in the City Series. It is the 30th Anniversary Special Edition and has never been removed from the box. I only opened the styrofoam to check the contents but did not remove the church itself. The tiny finial and cord with light are included inside the box. This item is from a smoke free home. Each building was removed from it’s plastic to be signed. “Stained Glass Windows” are plastic and unfortunately do fall out – a simple dob of clear glue will remedy it. The Cathedral of St. Nicholas was originally released to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Department 56 as a company, in 2006. Our production facilities completed the entire annual order quantity, but the decision was made to hold back the final 3,500 cathedrals produced. This final round of production was stored at the factory for a future very limited re-release. Now, in honor of the 30th Anniversary of the Christmas In The City brand, we are re-releasing these remaining pieces to celebrate this anniversary. 6.75x 10.25 x 14H Made of porcelain For this very unique re-release, Tom Bates will sign and number each piece personally! There is also a special sleeve that will clearly indicate that 2017 is the 30th Anniversary of Christmas in the City.
